Orange Floating Turbidity Silt Dam, 100ft Long, 12ft Deep, Permeable 70/18 Skirt
Floating turbidity barriers are designed to prevent the migration of silt and turbidity from exiting a work area. Typical uses include; dredging, shoreline revetments, sheet wall or pile driving, aquatic weed control/harvesting and marine construction activities.
Our standard barriers offer the benefit of debris and oil containment along the waterline with the use of 22oz PVC oil boom fabric around the floatation elements. Each floatation element is heat sealed into its own watertight compartment to prevent the floats from shifting.
Skirt materials consist of impermeable PVC, woven geotextile or other filtration media. Floating turbidity barriers are ballasted continually along the bottom with galvanized steel chain.
